For those of you who have never traveled to the west, or southwest, cattle guards are horizontal steel rails placed at fence openings, in dug-out places in the roads adjacent to highways (sometimes across highways), to prevent cattle from crossing over that area. For some reason the cattle will not step on the 'guards', probably because they fear getting their feet caught between the rails. (People in the south also know what cattle guards are.)
A few months ago, President Obama received and was reading a report that there were over 100,000 cattle guards in Colorado . The Colorado ranchers had protested his proposed changes in grazing policies, so he ordered the Secretary of the Interior to fire half of the cattle guards immediately!
Before the Secretary of the Interior could respond and presumably try to straighten President Obama out on the matter, Vice-President Joe Biden intervened with a request that...before any cattle guards were fired, they be given six months of retraining to become Arizona border guards. "Times are hard", said Joe Biden, "it's only fair to the cattle guards and their families!"
And these two guys are running our country.

This was simply too much of a time saver not to share it with you.
1. Put both lids of the toilet up and add 1/8 cup of pet shampoo to the water in the bowl.
2. Pick up the cat and soothe him while you carry him towards the bathroom.
3. In one smooth movement, put the cat in the toilet and close the lid. You may need to stand on the lid.
4. The cat will self agitate and make ample suds. Never mind the noises that come from the toilet, the cat is actually enjoying this.
5. Flush the toilet three or four times. This provides a 'power-wash' and rinse'.
6. Have someone open the front door of your home. Be sure that there are no people between the bathroom and the front door.
7. Stand behind the toilet as far as you can, and quickly lift the lid.
8. The cat will rocket out of the toilet, streak through the bathroom, and run outside where he will dry himself off.
9. Both the commode and the cat will be sparkling clean.

Should Workers Need Permission from Union Bosses to Get a Job?
As state-level finances continue to deteriorate around the country, the White House is pushing yet another "jobs bill" that will spawn a number of construction projects and other make-work programs to "create jobs."
While this legislation is dead on arrival up on Capitol Hill, some version is likely to eventually pass – especially as it becomes clear that the private sector can't and won't hire millions of workers anytime soon. At some point, Democrats will elicit GOP support for launching new infrastructure projects.
Which means that if most ordinary Americans want a chance at getting one of these politically created jobs, they had better be unionized. Because it's Big Labor that construction projects funded by the central government primarily benefit (except where the bidding firm is owned by a woman, disabled veteran, or favored minority).

Are We Headed for a Big Labor Showdown?
When the social order starts to collapse, you can bet the big unions in this country – especially the government unions – won't sit idly by. Union bosses will stir the pot to try to make things come out in their favor. I've already mentioned the recent Longshoremen Union mayhem in Washington State, but there's more:
At a Labor Day rally, AFL-CIO President Jimmy Hoffa incited union activists to prepare for a war and to "take these sons of bitches out," referring specifically to people calling for smaller government and more political transparency.
In the spring of this year, Wisconsin union bosses turned to intimidation and threats to try to prevent the passage of a bill that would limit their special privileges.
During the 2010 election season, several news accounts documented SEIU thugs intimidating and assaulting voters who spoke in support of candidates not endorsed by Big Labor.
In many cities, close ties between organized labor and the political system are largely responsible for strapped budgets. The largest single factor is the bloated, defined-benefit pension plans that commit the taxpayers for decades to trillion-dollar obligations. Wasteful work rules, featherbedding, and pointless bureaucratic jobs that can never be cut are other factors.
As private-sector jobs become more scarce and local and state budgets get stretched thin, you can bet that union bosses will resist cuts in government with all they have.
You can count on more violent protests and other ugly intimidation as the economy gets worse. But that's not all you need to be concerned about. You also need to keep a close eye on your wallet.
If the Squeaky Wheel Gets the Grease... It's Time We Started Squeaking
You and I need to pay attention to the effects organized labor is having on the political system, the economy, and even on the social order. Of course, you're a savvy, informed reader, so I know you already do pay attention. But, make sure you start following union disruptions in the news. If they are carrying signs and chanting slogans today, they could be wielding crowbars and storming buildings tomorrow.
Also watch how politicians treat the union bosses, watch for laws that union officials favor or oppose... and watch the extreme reactions when they don't get their way.
Expect schools, hospitals, fire stations, and other public services increasingly to be held ransom to union-boss demands.
And start voting with your dollars. You might decide you don't want to avoid doing business with unionized companies.
Also, start identifying products and services you use that could be at the mercy of union disruptions. Foodstuffs are a big one here. Union officials hold a lot of sway over shipping and trucking, and they could easily disrupt the flow of food supplies... at least temporarily. (Nationwide transportation strikes happen routinely in France, for example.) I've said it before, but it bears repeating: If you don't already have a 90-day supply of food on hand, now is the time to start stocking up.
Finally, let other people know what you think. When there's controversy, it's easy to clam up and keep your opinions to yourself. But, we owe it to the future of our economy and our society not to be silent.

Desperately Needing Help

I have a prayer request. There's a lady I've known forever.. She's very sick.
On top of that, she's being abused by those she has given everything to.
Lies about her abound, and seem to come from all sides. Just breaks my
heart. Seems there's nothing I can do alone. But maybe, if we join in and
lift her up together we can heal her. She's well over 200 years old, but way
too young to die. Her name is America ... and I love her.

Just a note as a reminder....watch what you buy. If it says that it is "Halal", that means that the manufacturer has bent to Muslim demands. I say DO Not buy any of those products! If only the Muslims buy those products, the manufacturers might have so much product left on the shelves that they will realize that it isn't worth the cost of processing. ****************************** I did some shopping at Costco on Saturday. Nothing too special, just looking to pick up some meat to BBQ. My eldest son was down with his fiancee from Iowa , so we wanted to have some family time. My wife and I worked our way past the various displays and only picked up an ice chest to keep the meat from spoiling on the return trip to Magdalena (we were strong willed for a change). We arrived at the refrigerated section and began the difficult task of choosing our cuts of meat for the family get together. Right away, I spotted chicken from Oregon , but then I saw on the sign a note that stopped me cold. The whole chickens that looked wonderful for the family bar-b-que, just a moment before, were now an offense to me. Right on the sign were the words "Certified Halal". "Halal" is the Islamic term that basically means the meat is lawful to eat for a devout Muslim. What makes it lawful or acceptable is that the meat has been processed in a very specific way. Now you may think that this is not different than meat that is acceptable to the Jewish people or kosher. Unlike kosher food, where the physical processing of the meat is the focus, for Islam it is the spiritual component that makes the meat lawful. For lawful (halal) meat in Islam, the animal must be killed while the butcher faces Mecca , and either the butcher cries "Allah Akbar" or a tape plays the words over a loud speaker. Understand that when they face Mecca, the face the black stone, the very definition of idol worship. I am glad that Costco is finally telling us plainly that the meat is halal or sacrificed to an idol, but I have a feeling that this is not to benefit the Christian, but rather the muslim. I will state again that I have no fear of a lifeless false god, but the book of Acts plainly tells us that we are not to eat meat sacrificed to idols. The false religion of Islam continues to make inroads into America as they attempt to force some of our communities to submit to Sharia law and demand that halal food be sold in mainstream stores. I would point out that normally this type of food has been called "ethnic" food or given a special section like the Chinese food or whatever. That is not what we see here. This food is being sold with the standard fare, and one must read the small labels on the back of the food to find out if it is halal or not. I believe in freedom of religion. What I am starting to observe, however, is that one religion (currently the minority) is being given a wide berth and allowed special status. Those that know their Bible are not surprised by this, we are talking about the religion of the anti-Christ, after all. But it still amazes me that it can (as the Bible predicted) happen so suddenly and without anyone really taking notice. |

Data gathering methods
In the United States, crime data is collected from three major sources: law enforcement agency crime reports, collected monthly by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and processed annually as Uniform Crime Reports (UCR); victimization surveys, collected biannually by the Bureau of Justice Statistics and processed annually in the National Crime Victimization Survey (NCVS); and self-report surveys. The UCR represents the primary source of data used in the calculation of official statistics regarding serious crimes such as murder and homicide, which is supplemented by the information provided through the NCVS and self-report studies, the latter being the best indicator of actual crime rates for minor offenses such as illegal substance abuse and petty theft. These crime data collection programs provide most of the statistical information utilized by criminologists and sociologist in their analysis of crime and the extent of its relationship to race.[12]

I hadn't thought about this - but where are O's past girlfriends - surely he had at least one? No past girl friends popping up anywhere? Strange - strange to the point of being downright weird!
OK, this is just plain old common sense, no political agendas for either side. Just common knowledge for citizens of a country, especially American citizens, who know every little tidbit about every other president (and their wives) that even know that Andrew Jackson's wife smoked a corn cob pipe and was accused of adultery, or that Lincoln never went to school or Kennedy wore a back brace or Truman played the piano.
We are Americans! Our Media vets these things out! We are known for our humanitarian interests and caring for our 'fellow man.' We care, but none of us know one single humanizing fact about the history of our own president.
Honestly, and this is a personal thing ... but it's bugged me for years that no one who ever dated him ever showed up. Taken his charisma, which caused the women to be drawn to him so obviously during his campaign, looks like some lady would not have missed the opportunity....
We all know about JFK's magnetism, McCain was no monk, Palin's courtship and even her athletic prowess were probed. Biden's aneurisms are no secret. Look at Cheney and Clinton-we all know about their heart problems. How could I have left out Wild Bill before or during the White House?
Nope... not one lady has stepped up and said, "He was soooo shy," or "What a great dancer!"
Now look at the rest of what we know... no classmates, not even the recorder for the Columbia class notes ever heard of him.
Who was the best man at his wedding? Start there. Check for groomsmen. Then get the footage of the graduation ceremony.
Has anyone talked to the professors? Isn't it odd that no one is bragging that they knew him or taught him or lived with him.
When did he meet Michele and how? Are there photos? Every president provides the public with all their photos, etc. for their library. What has he released? Nada - other than what was in this so-called biography! And experts who study writing styles, etc. claim it was not O's own words or typical of his speech patterns, etc.
Does this make any of you wonder?
Ever wonder why no one ever came forward from Obama's past, saying they knew him, attended school with him, was his friend, etc. ?
Not one person has ever come forward from his past.
This should really be a cause for great concern. Did you see the movie titled, The Manchurian Candidate?
Let's face it. As insignificant as we all are... someone whom we went to school with remembers our name or face...someone remembers we were the clown or the dork or the brain or the quiet one or the bully or something about us.
George Stephanopoulos, ABC News said the same thing during the 2008 campaign. Even George questions why no one has acknowledged that the president was in their classroom or ate in the same cafeteria or made impromptu speeches on campus. Stephanopoulos was a classmate of Obama at Columbia-class of 1984.
He says he never had a single class with him.
Since he is such a great orator, why doesn't anyone in Obama's college class remember him?
And, why won't he allow Columbia to release his records?
Do you like millions of others, simply assume all this is explainable - even though no one can?

HAD ENOUGH???? Judge Kithil then goes on to identify:
"Finally, it is specifically stated that this bill will not apply to members of Congress. Members of Congress are already exempt from the Social Security system, and have a well-funded private plan that covers their retirement needs. If they were on our Social Security plan, I believe they would find a very quick 'fix' to make the plan financially sound for their future."
